Finance Director

KMFA Classical 89.5 is seeking a Finance Director to oversee all financial and human resource operations for the station. A key member of the leadership team, the Finance Director ensures accountability and transparency for the organization’s assets and liabilities, facilitates financial planning activities, and collaborates with all station departments to facilitate effective administrative practices. The position reports to the General Manager. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in the nonprofit sector.

Morning Shift PT Radio Announcer

KMFA 89.5 Classical Public Radio Station seeks a part-time Morning Shift Radio Announcer. The announcer contributes to KMFA's mission by providing outstanding representation on-air and at station-wide events and presents classical music in a knowledgeable but listener-friendly manner to make it accessible to the broadest possible audience. The position maintains professional standards and deepens public support through positive interaction with, and accountability to, our stakeholders. The Program Announcer reports to the Content Director. The music is presented in both live and recorded programming. The announcer’s role may extend into the greater community through personal appearances.

Development Intern

Position Overview: The most critical traits for the KMFA intern are reliability, integrity, ability to take initiative and attention to detail. Computer literacy, excellent communication and writing skills, interest in non-profit management and the medium of radio, involvement and interest in serving the KMFA membership community, demonstrated ability to work well with others, are all strong advantages. Candidates must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program with an accredited college or university looking to supplement current course study in the Colleges of Business, Communication, Liberal Arts, or Fine Arts. Reports to Associate Development Director for Membership.

About KMFA Classical 89.5: KMFA Classical 89.5, Austin’s all-classical public radio station, was founded in 1967 by a group of citizens who saw the need for a radio station devoted to cultural programming in the Central Texas Area. Today the station remains committed to this heritage. Relying on the majority of its funding from direct listener and business contributions, KMFA serves approximately 100,000 listeners each week and features both local programming and nationally distributed programming from Public Radio International, American Public Media and National Public Radio.
