KMFA Announces Member Services Director Hire
AUSTIN, Texas – Classical 89.5, KMFA announces the hiring of Susannah Erler as Member Services Director. After a national search, KMFA Development Director, Joan Kobayashi stated," Susannah's background, experience and connections to Central Texas clearly made her a standout candidate for the job. We are pleased to announce her full-time status effective February 1st, 2007."
Ms. Erler has a Masters in Business-Arts Administration from the University of Wisconsin where her thesis was Public Radio and the Internet. She has a strong public radio background with direct experience as Station Manager for WQUB in Quincy, Illinois (an NPR/classical station) from 2002-2004; assistant to the fundraising and community relations departments of Wisconsin Public Radio; and as a grant writer, producer and script writer for the Earth and Sky radio series (as well as KUT from 1991-1996). She also once held a part-time announcer position at KMFA.
Ms. Erler leaves her full-time position as Grants and Communications Specialist at WorkSource and her Freelance Grant Writing position with KUT 90.5.
General Manager, Jack Allen, said, "Adding this position was a strategic decision for KMFA, one which will enhance and improve our efforts to grow needed funding for station initiatives. As KMFA celebrates it's 40th year of public service, we look forward to working with Susannah in our efforts to grow support for this treasured asset to our community."
Classical 89.5, KMFA now employs 11 full-time and 5 part-time positions.
