About Nathan Langfitt
As a radio announcer, musician, and arts educator, Nathan Langfitt loves exploring a diverse array of classical music repertoire and sharing it with others. Nathan began listening to classical radio while growing up in Dallas, and ended up working as a classical music announcer for WRKF 89.3 FM in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He also ran the education department for the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, developing the organization’s new media initiatives and series of educational podcasts. He has interviewed Edo de Waart, Yo-Yo Ma, Jeremy Denk, and Marvin Hamlisch, among others. Locally, Nathan is active as a percussionist and music director, as well as serving as a lecturer in the College of Fine Arts at the University of Texas at Austin. You can hear him on Sundays from 1-5 p.m. on KMFA’s Sunday Matinee.
