Music Director Sara Hessel blogged from Lübeck, Germany!
KMFA Music Director Sara Hessel attended the Buxtehude 2007 Festival in Lübeck, Germany May 5th - 13th. This festival commemorated the 300th Anniversary of German organist and composer Dieterich Buxtehude's death. Buxtehude, an important figure in Baroque music, taught Johann Sebastian Bach and was the organist of St. Mary's church in Lübeck (not to mention KMFA's Music Director's favorite composer!). KMFA in Panama
