Provence Highlights
You will spend four days exploring the fascinating history and culture of Provence. From Roman generals to painters, poets, and writers to gourmands of all stripes, Provence has been an inspiration for "good living" for centuries. As a fan of classical music, perhaps you know these two works, inspired by Provence:

You will savor it all: Roman monuments, charming hill towns, picturesque landscapes, outstanding food and wine -- and more music as well. You and Dianne's other guests will be based outside the great medieval town of Avignon, home of the Popes during the 14th century and thus one of the most powerful cities of the time. You'll also visit the city of Arles with its splendid Roman remains and traces of Van Gogh. And you'll dine in some of the region's top restaurants and sample some of its fine wines.

Paris Highlights
From Provence, KMFA's special tour will move on to Paris, the City of Lights. You will spend five nights in this magical city and attend performances at several of its outstanding music venues. Included are the grand Palais Garnier -- the old Opéra and meeting place of the demi-monde in the 19th century -- for a ballet; Verdi's Rigoletto at the Opera Bastille with world-class artists; and a concert in that Gothic marvel of stained glass, Sainte Chapelle.

A special treat will be private concerts exclusively for the group in Avignon and Paris. You will explore different periods of French history and culture and take private guided tours of The Louvre, Notre Dame, the Marais district, and other marvelous sites.

While residing in Paris, you will spend a day outside the city at the Chateaus Vaux-le-Vicomte, the private home of Louis XIV's finance minister, Nicolas Fouquet, with its magnificent formal garden designed by Le Notre; and Fontainebleau, the grand Renaissance chateau that was the former home of Francis I and Napoleon.
