To say that Cameron Carpenter is different than most classical musicians would be an understatement. A queer atheist, he did not discover the organ while in church - he discovered it in a children's encyclopedia while being homeschooled. In his professional life he's made it his mission to redefine his instrument and is having success doing so. Carpenter brings his International Touring Organ to Austin for one performance only: Thursday evening, November 13 at the McCullough Theatre. This performance is presented by Texas Performing Arts.

In their conversation, KMFA's Chris Johnson and Cameron Carpenter covered a wide range of topics, some of which were quite provocative in nature. For the full unedited interview click here.
