Once a piece of music has made it into the canon, you can be certain we know who the composer is, right? Not necessarily. Isn't that famous Toccata and Fugue in D minor definitely by Bach? Maybe not. Albinoni's Adagio? Probably written by someone trying to pass it off as Albinoni's. The list continues, and you can hear some of these musical misattributions, fakes, and other quirks of the catalogue at "Fooled Ya!", La Follia Austin Baroque's April Fool's Day concert, hosted by Suzanne Bona of Sunday Baroque fame.
