Texas Commission on the Arts
The Texas Commission on the Arts (TCA) is concerned about the arts organizations and artists impacted by Hurricane Harvey. They are collecting information about resources that may be helpful to those affected directly by the hurricane on this webpage.
Texas Monthly has compiled a list of organizations that are ensuring that people impacted by Harvey have the resources they need.
The Texas Tribune has put together dual lists of ways to get and receive help in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey.
Glasstire has created a list of emergency resources for artists.
Music Doing Good
A Houston organization dedicated to youth music education which has an instrument donation program.
Houston Youth Symphony
HYS has set up the HYS Music & Instrument Fund for Harvey Victims which aims to get instruments into the hands of young musicians who need them. Need and awards will be evaluated by a committee.
Pasadena ISD Fine Arts
The music and fine arts programs in this Houston-area school district were hit particularly hard. They have set up a fund specifically for their programs.
Kingwood High School
This school was severely damaged and will not reopen until the next academic year. Students will be sent to a nearby school, now sharing facilities with two bodies of students and faculties.
