The Wednesday Morning Music Club (“WMMC”) presents a program dedicated to international music on Wednesday, October 18, beginning at 10 a.m.

The program includes selections from The Netherlands, England, France, Germany, and Mexico and will highlight the following:

Celestial Fire – Masterworks of the Renaissance (Orlande de Lassus, William Byrd, Jan Pieterszoon Sweelinck, Josquin des Prez) with guest performance by Ensemble VIII, directed by Dr. James Morrow.

Sonata by Samuel Zyman with member Sheryl Goodnight on the flute and guest performer Stephen Burnaman at the piano.

Suite No. 2 in F Major for Piano by George Frideric Handel with member Toby Blumenthal-Phillips playing piano.

Kreisleriana, Op. 16 by Robert Schumann with member Timothy Woolsey on the piano.

Founded in 1923, The Wednesday Morning Music Club (“WMMC”) meets on the first and third Wednesdays, October – May, for live music programs at the Texas Federation of Women’s Clubs Building, 2312 San Gabriel Street, Austin, 78705.
