About

The Museum is pleased to once again welcome James Dick, world-renowned concert pianist, for an evening performance in the Museum's Grand Lobby. Dick has performed in venues across the globe and maintains a busy schedule as a solo artist. His famous Round Top Festival Institute, now in its 43rd year, welcomes Texans from across the state to a small town that has been known since its earliest days as a home for poets and musicians. The Institute celebrates Texas’s heritage and fosters young musical talent, benefitting Texans across the state.

The evening’s performance will transform the Museum’s Grand Lobby into a sweeping musical venue. The concert will feature selections from French composers in celebration of the exhibition La Belle: The Ship That Changed History. Throughout the performance, Dick will provide insights into the importance of the music he is playing and his own personal connection to the works, elevating the experience beyond a typical concert-hall performance.

Following the performance, attendees can enjoy a reception with the artist and a viewing of the La Belle special exhibition.
