The Sphinx Organization in Detroit addresses the underrepresentation of people of color in classical music. One of their more recent events is Sphinx Connect.  Afa Dworkin, President and Artistic Director of the Sphinx Organization (pictured right with a young competitor) says it's a networking event for administrators, conductors, musicians and others in classical music.
