Listen

Dianne chats with world- renowned American composer and Guggenheim Fellow, Jake Heggie. Heggie is in Austin to oversee the production of  the two operas that The Butler Opera Center (UT School of Music) will be performing. As well, on Friday, Febuary 26th, at the performance, he will be receiving the Eddie Medora King Award. Meet the composer, learn about his process and a little about the two operas (and hear some of the music), "At The Statue of Venus" and  "Three Decembers". There was a lot more to the interview than I could fit in the show but you can listen now (*see below). Later in the show Keith Womer will let us know about a classical concert Masterworks of Mozart and Haydn",that his group, La Follia will soon be performing. (Dianne Donovan-Producer/Host/Editor-59 minutes)
