About

The Austin Traditional Jazz Society welcomes back, La Grosse Tete. Formed in early 2013 to play a single gig for Mardi Gras, this New Orleans inspired band continues to perform together and share their love for traditional jazz with music lovers and dancers all over Austin.
As one of the only swing dancer-inspired trad. Jazz bands in Austin, La Grosse Tete has played for the Austin Swing Syndicate, Four on the Floor (a local swing dance company), and at various venues, festivals, parties and special events in the greater Austin area. We strongly believe this lively music was intended for dancing…you will surely feel that driving beat that will make you want to tap your feet!! If you love hot jazz, you will love La Grosse Tete!!
Come and see the fun at Cap City Comedy Club on Sunday February 11, from 2 – 5 pm. Doors open at 1 pm. Concert admission is free to ATJS members. $10 general admission and $5 for students with ID.
