MARY POPPINS WILL SOAR AT LEANDER HIGH SCHOOL: The Award-Winning Stage Musical Will Premiere January 23, 2020 and will feature 5 shows through January 26. Tickets available at: http://www.leandertheatre.org. $15 for reserved seating and $12 for general admission.

The Broadway musical, based on the novels of P.L. Travers and the Academy Award-winning Walt Disney film, features the memorable songs “A Spoonful of Sugar,” “Let’s Go Fly a Kite,” “Feed the Birds,” “Chim-Chim-Cher-ee,” “Step in Time,” and “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious,” all written by Richard M. Sherman and Robert B. Sherman.

Leander High School’s production will feature a cast of over 50 students, including Greater Austin High School Musical Theatre Award (GAHSMTA) nominees Sophie Montani as Mary Poppins and Jordan Williams as Bert. And, yes, Mary will literally soar over the stage thanks to the incredible effects provided by international flying experts ZFX.

Showtimes: 7 p.m. Thursday Jan. 23; 7 p.m. Friday Jan. 24; 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday Jan. 25; and 2 p.m. Sunday Jan. 26.
