Round Top Festival Institute presents a live performance by James Dick, Founder and Artistic Director of Round Top Festival Institute, hailed by audiences and connoisseurs as an outstanding artist able to enrapture listeners through the infinite colors he summons from the keyboard. The program, with works by Schubert, Beethoven, Chopin and Prokofiev, will begin at 3:00 pm and end at 4:30 pm with no intermission.

From his early years as prize winner of some of the world's most prestigious piano awards to his current successful career as an international guest artist, James Dick is well known to music lovers as a man of great talent, vision and class. His playing melds modern-day energy and technique with an Old World graciousness and civility, resulting in a passionate sound that keeps audiences engrossed.

Adult $25. Student $10. All tickets must be purchased in advance online. No tickets will be sold over the phone as the office is closed during the pandemic. No ticket sales at the door. Due to COVID-related restrictions, a limited number of tickets is available. Buy your tickets early. Tickets are non-refundable. All sales final.

  • Located in historic Round Top, Texas, The James Dick Foundation for the Performing Arts and its sole project, Round Top Festival Institute, were founded in 1971 by world-renowned concert pianist James Dick. Begun with a handful of gifted young pianists in rented space on the town square, the project is now an internationally acclaimed music institute for aspiring young musicians and distinguished faculty.

    Since 1971, with the help of its patrons and friends, The James Dick Foundation for the Performing Arts has developed superb year round education and performance programs. It has also created a unique 210-acre campus "Festival Hill" containing major performance facilities, historic houses, extensive gardens, parks and nature preserves. Through its singular collection of rare books, manuscripts, archival material, music and historic recordings, photographs and objects, Round Top Festival Institute is also known as an important center for research and scholarly study.
