About

Join the Austin Saxophone Ensemble (ASE, pronounced "ace"), a group of 13 intrepid saxophonists presenting varied, interesting, and vital music worthy of the Live Music Capital of the World. We'll be celebrating and performing works from the release of our debut album "Plunge." You'll hear music by some of Austin's finest composers including Michael Mikulka, Walter Nichols, and Chris Ozley, as well as timeless classical warhorses by Vivaldi and Tchaikovsky reimagined for ASE's infinite color possibilities. We'll also celebrate the incredible diversity of Austin's music scene by featuring mezzo-soprano vocal soloist Page Stephens and a new work by renowned San Francisco-based bass clarinetist Jon Russell. You won't want to miss it!
