What do Scott Joplin, Johannes Brahms, and German-Texan immigrants all have in common? They all went from Rags to Riches!

Join Beerthoven Austin for their Season 11 Finale, featuring solo and duo piano rags performed by Beerthoven's own Executive Director Daniel Swayze and pianist Austin Haller, as well as Brahms' Neue Liebeslieder Op. 65 and David Hanlon's contemporary tribute to German-Texans; Texanische Liebeslieder! Featuring vocalists Trevor Shaw, Shari Wilson, Laura Mercado-Wright, and Gregory Hilliard.

Thanks to sponsors, warm pastries and cold beer will be generously provided by Easy Tiger and Lazarus Brewing as well as wine and non-alcoholic beverages--all at no additional cost!

The Beerthoven Concert Series is a down-to-earth, approachable celebration of classical song and chamber music; a quirky mixture of Oktoberfest and Bach Fest, presented in a unique and intimate setting. Beerthoven finds its inspiration from the musical and festive events at the Austin Saengerrunde as well as the private "salon" concerts of Beethoven's own time. There is no backstage area here; audience members may even find themselves standing in line for beer with the performers. Beerthoven Inc is a 501c3 non-profit and a Sponsored Project of the Austin Creative Alliance. Beerthoven is made possible through the support of the Austin Saengerrunde and individual benefactors.
