CONSPIRARE PRESENTS

TO BE THE SUN

**POSTPONED TO LATER DATE**

PIEDRA DE SOL WORLD PREMIERE

SEPTEMBER 26 & 27 | 8:00 P.M. | ST. MARTIN'S LUTHERAN CHURCH

The To Be the Sun concerts scheduled for September 26 and 27 will be postponed to a later date. Unfortunately, our Artistic Director Craig Hella Johnson and a few singers became ill with COVID-19, and we must postpone this extraordinary world premiere to ensure everyone’s health and safety.

Because this concert is postponed, tickets will be honored at the rescheduled performance. Once a new date is announced, ticket holders will have the opportunity to request a refund. You may also request an exchange to a different show by contacting the Long Center Box Office at boxoffice@longcenter.org or (512) 474-5664.

What does it mean to be on our human journey? Joby Talbot’s Piedra de Sol (Sunstone), a setting of Octavio Paz’ epic poem in the original Spanish, asks that question as it explores themes of love, identity, and cycles of time. Talbot sets the poem for 20 voices and marimba, showcasing Conspirare’s GRAMMY®-winning singers’ virtuosity.

British Composer Joby Talbot has written music for films SingSing 2, and Wonka! Choral music fans may know him for his Path of Miracles. His opera Everest has been widely-acclaimed.

Student Rush tickets will be available 90 minutes prior to showtime at the box office in person only. Up to 2 tickets can be purchased with a valid student ID. Subject to availability.
