Santa Fe Classical Music Tour with KMFA
Santa Fe Classical Music Tour with KMFA
August 3 - 8, 2026
Join KMFA for a six-day journey to Santa Fe, New Mexico, one of the country’s most enchanting cultural destinations, renowned for its vibrant arts scene, striking desert landscapes, and rich blend of heritage. KMFA host George Preston will accompany this deluxe tour, offering an insider’s perspective on a city where music, art, and history converge.
The tour’s centerpiece is the celebrated Santa Fe Opera, where we’ll attend three performances: Mozart’s The Magic Flute, the American premiere of Tobias Picker’s Lili Elbe, and Handel’s Rodelinda. Set against the dramatic backdrop of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, the Santa Fe Opera is one of the world’s most distinctive and sought-after summer music festivals.
In addition to these extraordinary performances, we’ll enjoy intimate concerts at the New Mexico Museum of Art, including a Brahms and Dvořák chamber program and a piano recital by acclaimed artist Orion Weiss. These unique musical experiences offer rare opportunities to hear world-class musicians in inspiring and intimate settings.
Our days in Santa Fe will be filled with opportunities to explore the region’s rich cultural and artistic heritage. Optional excursions include visits to Bandelier National Monument and Los Alamos, a private tour of the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum, and a scenic journey through the historic Chimayó Valley. In town, guests can enjoy Santa Fe’s renowned galleries, distinctive adobe architecture, and celebrated culinary scene.
Accommodations for the tour will be at the iconic La Fonda on the Plaza, a luxurious five-star historic hotel located in the heart of downtown Santa Fe, offering both comfort and an authentic sense of place.
