La Follia will perform these works in the manner Bach typically performed them: using minimal orchestra and one-on-a-part chorus. Featured is the famous solo cantata BWV 82 “Ich habe genug” with Gil Zilkha, bass. James Andrewes, frequent director for the Bach Cantata Project in Bloomington, Indiana, leads the La Follia orchestra.  Other vocalists are Meredith Ruduski, soprano; Sean Lee, counter-tenor; and Jeffrey Jones-Ragona, tenor. Special guests Sarah Davol and Sarah Weiner perform on oboes d'amore, and Marcus McGuff performs on Baroque flute.Whit Martin-Whitaker from KMFA Classical 89.5 will present a free pre-concert lecture on Bach and the music to be performed beginning twenty minutes before curtain. The Program: Süßer Trost, mein Jesus kömmt, BWV 151 Ich habe genug, BWV 82 Liebster Gott, wenn werd ich sterben?, BWV 8. La Follia was founded in 1980.  It performs music of the time of Vivaldi, Bach, and Mozart using instruments and performance practices used when the music was composed. Among its numerous awards are three concerts cited as one of ten best classical music events of the year, as well as the 2016 Austin Critics Table award for overall Ensemble Performance.
