TRASH MAKEOVER CHALLENGE

SEPTEMBER 7 | 5:30 P.M. | TEXAS DISPOSAL SYSTEMS PAVILLION & WILDLIFE RANCH

Please join us for the return of our favorite creative circular economy event — the Trash Makeover Challenge! This unique fashion show features amateur and professional fashionistas who use at least 90% recycled materials to craft spectacular garments and showcase them in a dazzling spectacle for attendees.

The event will be Saturday, September 7th from 5:30-9:00 p.m. CDT at the Texas Disposal Systems Pavilion & Wildlife Ranch in southeast Travis County. The TDS Wildlife Ranch is home to over 2,000 different animals and over 100 species from 6 continents, such as giraffes, rhinos, zebras, and gazelles – some of whom may even greet you when you arrive!

Our event theme this year is Avant-Garden. Enter a space where the avant-garde spirit of non-traditional ingenuity meets the natural world and its vibrant tapestry of flora and fauna. We encourage you to come dressed in your best bold, experimental, and creative Avant-Garden themed outfit.

Join us for a fun-filled evening with fashion, a live and silent auction, and delicious food and drink. Learn more about our work to fight pollution all across Texas, and hear from this year’s Kick-Ass Award winner who will be recognized for their incredible efforts. Attendees also get to participate in deciding the fashion show People’s Choice awards, along with our panel of distinguished judges who award our Grand Prize.
