The Italian city of Bologna has been an urban center since the time of the Etruscans, and claims the world's oldest university, founded in 1088. This edition of Early Music Now features music with connections to the city, including works by chapel masters of the Basilica of San Petronio, treasures from the music library, and music from the coronation of Emperor Charles V, which took place in Bologna in 1530. Included are performances by Odhecaton, cornettist Bruce Dickey, organist Liuwe Tamminga, and Ensemble Pian e Forte.
