Girolamo Frescobaldi's bold and imaginative keyboard music fascinated younger generations of composers: J.S. Bach was said to have owned a copy of Frescobaldi's Fiori Musicali. We'll hear a cross section of Frescobaldi's music including canzonas, madrigals, and sacred works, as well as harpsichord pieces from a recent release by Christophe Rousset.
