In this edition of Staccato, we meet one of the composers writing what's variously called alt-classical or neo-classical.  

        He is Jonah Rapino of Boston, this year's winner
        of the  STRING QUARTET SMACKDOWN.  
        His winning piece is called Hardcortet.  

         Rapino is a busy man.  In addition to composing,
         he's also the founder of the group
         THE DEVIL MUSIC ENSEMBLE  and he's
         running a food charity.
