About
Tomasz Robak is a versatile keyboard artist. Trained primarily as a pianist, he is developing a multi-faceted career which includes performing as an organist and teaching music at all levels. As a piano soloist, he has performed concerti with the New North Shore Chamber Orchestra (2013), Southwest Symphony Orchestra (2013 & 2015), and Memphis Repertory Orchestra (2016). Later in 2016 he is scheduled to make his debut with the Manassas Symphony Orchestra playing Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 4. As a recitalist, in recent seasons he has performed in Baltimore, MD, Memphis, TN, Chicago, IL, and Salzburg, Austria. In 2016, he will perform in Baltimore, Washington DC, and Austin, TX. In addition to performing, Mr. Robak is a passionate educator. He is currently the Graduate Assistant in Keyboard Studies at the Peabody Conservatory where he teaches undergraduate music majors, runs a small studio of piano students, and works for the Baltimore Children’s Choir as Assistant Director. Mr. Robak graduated magna cum laude from Rice University with a Bachelor of Music degree in piano performance and Bachelor of Arts in philosophy, where he studied piano with Robert Roux. He is currently pursuing a Graduate Performance Diploma at the Peabody Institute, where he completed his Master of Music degree in 2015, studying piano with Benjamin Pasternack and organ with Donald Sutherland.
