About

Create your own patterns and learn the art of fabric dye from two Asian traditions, including Batik (Indonesia) utilizing wax and dye, and Shibori (Japan), a shaped-resist dying technique. 1 to 3pm: Batik workshop led by artist Evie Thompson; 3 to 5pm: Shibori workshop led by artist Lynne Brotman. Plus, Asian art exhibits, kids crafts and light refreshments provided. FREE, includes all materials.
