At KMFA, radio is more than a one-way signal and we want to hear from you! Have your favorites heard on KMFA By Request. Our new request show made its debut in January, airing each weekday from 6-7 p.m, hosted by Content Director John Clare.

Requests so far have ranged from the quintessentially American Copland to the gorgeous romance of Rachmaninoff (perhaps in anticipation of Valentine’s Day), Holst’s The Planets, and a mix of Dvorak pieces. One listener recently heard some music by contemporary composer Chad Lawson on Performance Today; his curiosity was piqued and he sent in a request to hear some of his other pieces.  You ask for it -- we’ll do our best to play it!  When you make your request, you can make a special dedication, or simply tell us what you’re in the mood to hear.  We love your stories about the music you love. Submit your requests online, by phone at 512-322-9095, or send an email to requests@kmfa.org.

The volume of requests prevents us from playing each and every one, but John enjoys hearing what you want to hear, and we encourage you to keep those requests and dedications coming.
