The Austin Brass Band is a traditional British-style brass band. The group differs from American-style brass ensembles by using cornets, flugelhorns and tenor horns instead of trumpets and French horns. British brass bands also use baritones as well as euphoniums, along with trombones, both Eb and BBb tubas and percussion. This unique instrumentation provides a distinctive sound that is rich, round and mellow.
