Any used instrument will be accepted. Austin Soundwaves partners with instrument repair shops around town to make sure every instrument is in good working condition before they are distributed to students. Those who don't have an instrument can make a financial contribution online that will go towards the instrument repair fund.

Teachers from partner schools work with Austin Soundwaves to identify which instruments their students need. Instruments are also donated to nonprofit community partners. Past recipients have included Armstrong Community Music School, Austin Classical Guitar, Beyond the Grade, Creative Action, Kids in a New Groove, and many more.

Any string, woodwind, brass, or percussion instrument can be put to use. Instrument accessories, and most electric insturments are also welcome. Please contact if you would like to donate an instrument but need to have it picked up from your home or if you are interested in donating an upright or grand piano.
