Ensemble VIII, under the direction of conductor Dr. James Morrow, will present a very special concert on two consecutive nights in May: Monteverdi 1610 Vespers—Music for the Blessed Virgin. Considered one of the greatest choral works of all time, Claudio Monteverdi’s colossal Vespers of 1610 was written in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary and was dedicated to Pope Paul V.
