KMFA has enjoyed the support of the Central Texas community since 1967. As a listener-supported classical music resource, KMFA is committed to ensuring that its workforce, management, governing board and advisory boards reflect the diversity of the community it serves. KMFA believes that diversity considerations in the community include not only gender and race, but also age, disability, culture, education, sexual orientation, and socio-economic status.

KMFA has undertaken inclusion initiatives in its programming on the air, online, and in the Draylen Mason Music Studio. Qualified candidates from diverse backgrounds are interviewed for all openings. Management also participates regularly in minority and student job fairs. Inclusion is a priority in board recruitment.

KMFA will continue to recruit and retain a diverse workforce that is representative of our service area, will provide equal opportunity in employment, and will offer ongoing diversity training for board and staff.

With its new home located in East Austin, KMFA has expanded its presence and its programming to engage a broad cross-section of the community.
