About
Experience Bohemian Rhapsodies at the Austin Civic Orchestra’s concert featuring Antonín Dvořák’s masterwork Symphony No. 8 as well as the music of Czech composers Karel Husa, Carl Stamitz and Bedřich Smetana. Dr. W.P. Sterneman, assistant conductor for the ACO, will present a pre-concert lecture on the music and its history. The conversation begins at 4:15 p.m. in the AISD Performing Arts Center lobby. Program: Pastorale by Karel Husa; Viola Concerto in D Major Op. 1, Mvt. I by Carl Stamitz, featuring Roger Myers; The Moldau from “Ma Vlast” by Bedřich Smetana; Symphony No. 8 by Antonín Dvořák. Tickets for the performance are $15 for adults and $10 for seniors, members of the military, and higher education students. As always, admission is free for youth (18 years old and younger).Event Details
